April 2009

On 25 April 2009, Feline Friends attended the open day at Blythman's Vets in Wallsend. There was something for everyone: a tombola, quizzes, face-painting, educational talks as well as a chance to meet baby rabbits! The event was well attended and gave members of the public a chance to speak to members of Feline Friends on a one-to-one basis. It was also an opportunity to meet some of the cats in need of rehoming. As a result, there was good interest from some individuals in adopting or fostering a cat. Thank you to Blythman's Vets for the work they put in to organising the event and to everyone who attended and made this such a successful day.

17th February 2008

Today we reunited one of our cats with her owner, after seeing her on the National Pet Register website, where missing pets are advertised. Cleo had been missing from her home in Hebburn since October 2007.  We took her in from a member of the public after she had been found in a bag by the side of a road in Sunderland in November. It is a mystery as to how Cleo ended up in Sunderland the way she did, but she is now back home with her owner and is very happy.
